Meaty Lasagna
This is a delicious meat lasagna that is easy to make and feeds quite a few people. Serve it with a green salad and garlic bread to make the perfect meal.

  • 1 lb Lasagna Noodles
  • 2 jars Pasta Sauce
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 lb Ground Spicy Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 White Onion diced
  • 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 3 cups Ricotta
  • 3 tsp Dried Oregano
  • Crushed Red Pepper to taste
  • Garlic salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

  • 3 cups Ricotta
  • 3 tsp Dried Oregano

Instructions
  1. In a large shallow pan, big enough in diameter to fit the length of the noodles, bring water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and a tablespoon of oil to the water. The oil will help prevent the noodles from sticking. Cook noodles per package directions, or until al dente.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, in a large skillet cook the ground beef, italian sausage and white onion together. Season with oregano, garlic salt, and pepper to your taste. Add crushed red pepper to the meat if you like a little spice. Drain excess grease. Set aside.
  3. By now your noodles should be done, drain in a colander.
  4. Once meat mixture is cooled, add 3 cups of Ricotta cheese to the meat and mix.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  6. Now its time to start building the lasagna. In a 11” x 15” glass baking pan spread out a layer of your favorite pasta sauce over the bottom of the pan. You can use as little or as much sauce as you like. Place a layer of noodles on top of the sauce. 5 noodles fit in the pan with one noodle cut to fit. On top of the noodles spread out a layer of the meat and Ricotta mixture. Over this layer, sprinkle one cup of grated Mozzarella cheese. On top, make another layer of noodles, then sauce, the meat mixture, and one cup of Mozzarella. Make one final layer of noodles, then sauce and the rest of the Mozzarella cheese.
  7. Pop it in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the cheese on top is melted and golden brown.
  8. Let cool and serve.
